Social movements are often controversial and bring about a wide range of feelings from the public. As such, information on the movement varies in credibility. Look at the slides below to understand how to effectively evaluate a source using the OPVL method.

Summative Assessment
The summative assessment for this unit will be a simulated Supreme Court Hearing. Students will play the role as Petitioner or Respondent and Justice. The social movements being addressed will be picked by the students as a way of emphasizing student choice.
